Virginia Estes Lane

Virginia Estes Lane, 74
DOVER - Virginia Estes Lane passed away on December 29, 2021 at Kent General Hospital. Born in Lakeland, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Allie Camille (Dyson) Barton and Maurice Barton.
Mrs. Lane had worked at the Delaware State News for a period of time. She then went to Dover Litho for four years and worked as a graphic designer. She then worked at the Smyrna Home and Hospital for the Chronically Ill as a nurses aide for a short period of time. She was a support services administrator for the Delaware Department of Elections, retiring after 33 years of service.
Her husband, Phillip A. Lane, passed away in 2016. Mrs. Lane is survived by her children: Scott Lane of Dover, Christopher H. Lane and his wife Diane of Dover, Laurie B. Lane of Dover, Jennifer L. Spencer of Dover and Mimi Fraizer and her husband Joel of Camden; her sister, Marykay Porter and her husband Don of Bay City, Texas; and her grandchildren: Ariana Lane, Christian Fraizer, Lealah Fraizer, Zolah Fraizer and Nolan Fraizer.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be private.
