HENDERSON, Md. - Virginia Shockley Elliott Green died at her home surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, October 25, 2013. She was 82. Born January 31, 1931 in Taylor's Bridge, DE, she was the daughter of the late, Eugene Franklin and Martha Foraker Shockley. In 1950 she graduated from Smyrna High School, Smyrna, Del. On January 10, 1953 she married Clifton A. Elliott, Jr. She worked in the office at both, Sudlersville and Crumpton schools and for 25 years at Dixon Sale Barn in Crumpton, Md. After the death of her husband, she married Allan "Flash" Green on January 1, 1976. She was a dedicated member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Goldsboro, Md. and was a true blessing to her family and friends. In addition to her first husband, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Allan Green; and her son, Eugene C. Elliott, Sr. Mrs. Green is survived by two daughters, Faren Elliott Jeeter and her husband, Ed of Ingleside, Md. and Faith Elliott Rossing and her husband, Pete of Ingleside, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Kellie Elliott Walters and her husband, Sam of Viola, Del.; her grandchildren, Ashley E. Winterstein (Wes) of Sudlersville, Caleb E. Rossing of Ingleside, Ashley N. Jeeter, of Culpepper, Va., Cole C. Elliott, Eugene C. Elliott, Jr. and Dustin C. Elliott; her great-grandchildren, June E. and Claire J. Winterstein and Londyn Smoot; and two sisters, Elsie Mae and Pauline L. Shockley, both from Taylor's Bridge, Del. Services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Centreville, Md. where friends and family may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and also on Friday evening, Nov. 1, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burial will be private.
