Virginia E. Pinder

Virginia E. Pinder, 89

SMYRNA - Virginia E. Pinder, of Smyrna, passed away Monday March 9, 2009, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital. She was 89. Mrs. Pinder was born April 8, 1919 in Smyrna the daughter of the late Harry and Susie Cummins Ford. She worked for International Playtex in Dover, for several years before retirement. Mrs. Pinder was a member of Ewell's St. Paul United Meothodist Church in Clayton, Delaware and she enjoyed traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Pinder. Mrs. Pinder is survived by two sons, Roger W. Pinder and his wife Rose of Clayton and William E. Pinder and his wife Margaret of Rensselaer, N.Y.; a granddaughter and two great-granddaughters. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday March 16, 2009, in Ewell's St. Paul United Methodist Church, at the corner of West Street and Clayton Avenue Clayton, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery Milford. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Ewell's St. Paul United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 266 Clayton, DE 19938. Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium Inc., 29 South Main St. Smyrna. Condolence may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com
