DOVER - Virgilio F. Banaag passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Capitol Nursing Home, Dover.
Mr. Banaag was born October 12, 1939, in Manila, Philippines to the late Augusto N. Banaag and Apolonia F. Banaag.
He worked as a Lead Project Scheduler for Aker Kvaerner in engineering and construction retiring in 2010. Mr. Banaag was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover. He enjoyed watching basketball especially his favorite team the LA Lakers and loved to billiard pool.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jasmin M. Banaag; brothers, Modesto F., Dominador F. and Augusto F. Banaag, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Virgilio M. Banaag, Jr. of Dover, Virmin M. Banaag of New York, NY, Virginia B. Lim of Cebu, Philippines, Virna Liz B. Martin of Rohnert Park, CA, Virmarie Joan, Viriel, Virjohn and Virianne Joan Banaag all of Dover; brother, Angelo Banaag of Bulacan, Philippines; sisters, Violeta Sena of Sydney, Australia and Fe B. Maullon of Quezon City, Philippines; grandchildren, Alison, Marvin, Kirsten, Kyle, Vania, Jazmin, Nicole, Christine, Daphne, Brylle and Aziel; great grandchildren, Maxine, Samarah, Leo, Laylah, Grayson, Ryu and Edison.
A Memorial Mass will be held 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
