OCEAN VIEW - Violet V. Pusateri, of Ocean View, formerly of Baltimore, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at her home. She was 88.
Mrs. Pusateri was born on May 19, 1920, in Black Lick, Pa., daughter of the late Fred and Jane (Cairns) Clawson.
She worked in the accounting department for Oakloom Clothes in Baltimore.
Violet was a Ladies Auxiliary member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7234 at Quillens Point in Ocean View.
She seemed to have a "green thumb," and loved flowers and her garden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony Joseph Pusateri in 1982; and a son, Joseph Pusateri.
She is survived by a son, Anthony J. Pusateri and his wife Althea of Baltimore; a daughter, Mary J. Putschky of Ocean View; son-in-law, Robert Putschky of Baltimore; four siblings, Gertrude Zimmerman, Beatrice Wilson, Hellen McCutcheon and Edwin Clawson; five grandchildren, Robert Meyer, Lorie White, Jennifer Pusateri, Mark Pusateri and Sean Pusateri; and six great-grandchildren, Shawn White, Jason White, Jonathan White, Lauren Meyer, Christopher Meyer and Katelyn Meyer.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m. July 12 at Violet's home, 38335 Lu Lee Court, Ocean View, DE 19970.
Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
