DOVER - Vincent Gomes passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Kent General Hospital, Dover. Vincent was born on August 12, 1964 in Jacksonville, Ark. Family and friends always came first to Vincent. His passion was to play the drums and he was a NASCAR fan for many years. Vincent is preceded in death by his grandfather, George Gomes. He is survived by his wife, Staci Gomes; father and mother, Ronald and Linda Gomes of Dover; three children, Amber (Darnell), Autumn and Daniel Lampkins; loving sister, Michelle Gomes of Dover; grandparents, John and Susie Ornelas of Kennedy, Texas; grandmother, Anna Gomes of Warwick, R.I.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Service will be 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Kent Sussex Industries, 301 N. Rehoboth Blvd., Milford, DE 19963.
