Victoria Sue Lawson passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, reuniting with her parents, Ruby Winstead and Victor Lawson, as well as her brother Mark. Born in 1950, she was 74 years old.
Victoria (Vikki) was independent, creative, and full of wanderlust, embracing life as both a dreamer and an artist. She is survived by her siblings, Kathy (Rae) and Tommy Lawson, and her children, Dr. Eric Swift and Amber Latham, who will forever cherish her spirit.
She began her career as a typesetter, mastering her craft with pride before the desktop publishing era transformed the industry. While she attended both art school and medical technology programs, her true talents were rooted in arts and crafts.
Victoria lived in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and Texas, filling each chapter of her life with crafts, travel, and memories. In retirement, she pursued her love of leatherworking, quilting, cooking, and painting. Her happiest moments were spent at the beach or surrounded by children, sharing her warmth and imagination.
Vikki's adventurous spirit and artistic legacy will be celebrated at a Memorial Service at Evan W. Smith Funeral Home, 518 S. Bay Road, Dover, DE 19901 at 12:00 pm on Friday, January 31. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
