Verna Roberta Guy SMYRNA - Verna Roberta Guy better known as Mom Bertie departed this life on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009. She is survived by her son, Warren (Doretha); two brothers, Payton (Phyllis), Thomas (Hazel); two sisters, Bessie and Violet; her daughter-in-law, Mary; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; three devoted friends, Lola Swiggett, Louise Potts, and Louise Birk Richards; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and a very special niece, Irene Bibbons; and a Goddaughter, Hope Jackson. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday at Bethel AME Church, 229 Commerce St., Smyrna, with the service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Smyrna. Ministry of comfort entrusted to May Funeral Homes, Camden, Pennsauken, Vineland and Willingboro. www.mayfuneralhomes.com.
