SEAFORD - Treva Jones Smedley died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Born in Welch, W.Va. on Oct. 17, 1945, Treva was the daughter of the late Douglas Floyd Jones, Sr. and Hazel Jones.
Treva has worked at several locations for Food Lion as a cake decorator. Not only was it her career, but also her hobby. After retiring, her main focus was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ms. Smedley is survived by her life partner, Marvin D. Stumbo, Sr.; three daughters, Donna Rice (David) of Denton, Md., Tina Reed (Fred) of Federalsburg, Md. and Roxzan Smedley of Florida; one stepson, David Stumbo; seven grandchildren, Jason Williamson, Joey Luffman, Ash Reed, Maggie Reed, Jamie Tinley, Jemma Tinley and Michael Tinley; and nine great grandchildren; one sister, Judy Mowbray (Robert) of Federalsburg, Md.; and one brother, Douglas Jones, Jr. (Linda) of Federalsburg, Md.
Funeral services are private.
