Timothy O. Miller SMYRNA - It is with great sadness, that the family of Timothy O. Miller announces his unexpected passing on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010. Timothy was born on Dec. 24, 1952, in Wilmington, to the late Roland and Marjorie Miller. He served in the United States Navy from 1970 to 1974. In February of 1977 he became a member of Armstrong Lodge #26 A.F. & A.M. in Newport, and went on to become a 32nd degree Mason. He also served as the Grand Tall Cedar in 2009 for Brandywine Forest #20 Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He also served as an Adult Advisor for the Jobes Daughter's, Bethel #4 of Middletown. A hard worker throughout his life, Tim worked in many fields including a Master HVAC Tech for Service Unlimited Inc., a Forman for Victor Colbert Construction, a Materials Manager for J.W. Stewart Inc., and a Track Foreman for Amtrak. He enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking and spending time with his grand children. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Darling Marie Miller of Smyrna; sons, Christopher Miller of Smyrna, and James Miller and wife, April of Dover; sisters, Lynn Ruppel of Stillwater, Pa., Sally Fritz of Benton, Pa., and Julia Hartnett of Wilmington; and three grandchildren, Sylena, James and Austin Miller. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lee Miller. Tim will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Heaven is a richer place with Tim's giving spirit. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 20 West Mount Vernon Street, Smyrna, DE 19977 where friends may call at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, Md.
