COOLSPRING - Timothy Lee Bailey departed this life suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at his home in Coolspring.
He was born April 25, 1964, to Dorothy M. Bailey and the late Cornelius Clintonskill in Marionville, Va.
Timothy received his education in the Cape Henlopen School District where he graduated from Cape Henlopen High School in 1983.
When he was younger, Timothy spent the summers with his grandmother in Virginia being spoiled rotten. He was very close to his Grandma Hazel and could do no wrong in her eyes.
Timothy was a kind and fun loving person. He loved to laugh and to make others laugh with his crazy antics.
He was known by many people and no matter in state, out of state, or even out of the country, he could always find someone he knew.
Timothy was a friend to many and there will always be a "How I met Tim Bailey" story.
He enjoyed spending time with his children and his family, fishing and riding his Harley-Davidson, especially with his Uncle Dan.
He participated in the Bike to the Beach motorcycle ride and during the spring, he could be found tinkering and cleaning his bikes getting ready to ride.
Timothy also collected motorcycles and Archie comic books as a hobby.
Always a hard worker, he worked as a chef in various area restaurants for 25 years.
He was currently employed by Baywood Golf Club in Millsboro as a chef.
Timothy was very good at what he did and was highly complimented on his work. He had a recipe for every occasion.
He was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.
Timothy leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Dorothy M. Bailey of Milton; one son, Timothy Troy Bailey of Millsboro; one daughter, Taylor Gibbs of Milford; one sister, Vanessa Bailey of Milton; one nephew, Trayvon Bailey of Milton; his girlfriend, Altrenia Wright of Millsboro; six aunts, Glydis Smith (Edward) of Milton, Stella Bailey of Hare Valley, Va., Emma Nottingham of Treherneville, Va., Hannah Cypress of Hare Valley, Va., Lola Collins (Stanford) of Machipongo, Va., Hazel Upshur (John) of Philadelphia; two uncles, Dan Bailey of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Ronald Bailey of Milton; one great aunt, Queenie Lewis of Milton; two very special friends; Russell Jones and Greg Bullard; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Pilgrim Ministry of Deliverance in Georgetown, where friends may view two hours prior.
Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Lewes.
