BRIDGEVILLE - Thurman N. "Andy" Andrews of Bridgeville died Monday, March 26, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 72.
Mr. Andrews was born May 17, 1934, in Easton, Md., son of the late Charles and Esther (Hignutt) Andrews.
He retired from the U.S. Army after serving 22 years. During that time he served in the Korean Conflict. He was proud that during part of his career he was attached to the canine training program.
Mr. Andrews was a good husband and father.
He was a member of the American Legion Post in Seaford.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Scott Miller; a brother, Buddy Andrews; and two sisters, Ethel Edwards and Virginia Stare.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dorothy "Dottie" Andrews; four children, Tommy Andrews, Kevin Andrews, Laura Andrews and Debbie Daniels, all of Florida; two stepchildren, Erin Miller of Thailand and Brett Miller of North Carolina; four grandchildren; a brother, Ray Andrews; and three sisters, Marie Degen, Charlotte Bartlett and Shirley Andrews.
Services will be private.
