CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Thomas Naidell "BJ" Boyce Sr. departed this life Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at the Chester River Hospital, Chestertown. He was 59.

He was born July 23, 1948, son of Arnita Greene and the late Thomas Boyce.

Thomas grew up in Ewington, where he was well-loved.

He graduated from Kennard High School.

Thomas leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Arnita Greene of Chestertown; two sons, Thomas Boyce Jr. of Dover, Del., and Calvin Boyce of Fort Meade; two daughters-in-law; eight grandchildren; one sister, Darlene of Annapolis; one brother, Calvin Greene of Grasonville; six special aunts, Elizabeth Cooper of Ewington, Ida Beck of Maryland, Patricia Holland of Chestertown, Joan Baltimore of Federalsburg, Grace Price of Seattle, Wash., and Aunt Sis Lee of Ewington; his uncles, Marvin Brown and Lawrence Brown, both of Federalsburg, and James Brown and Clarence Brown, both of Wilmington, Del.; a special sister-in-law, Mary Lou Cooper; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may view one hour prior.

Burial will be private.
