LINCOLN - Thomas J. Wiley, known to his loved ones as Tom, passed away on December 25, 2021, at home, cared for by his daughter and surrounded by family. Tom was born on February 18, 1962, in Milford, Delaware to William and Mary Wiley.
Tom attended Del Tech Community College where he studied Accounting. He loved the beach, both living in Rehoboth Beach after high school and spending time there making memories with his daughter, family, and friends. Tom was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan for more than 40 years. He spent many happy times watching and attending games with his daughter, also an avid fan, and friends. Tom loved golfing with his brother Joe, getting into mischief with his brother Ken, growing a successful garden each year, and attending Blues Music Festivals with friends. He loved being a father to his only daughter and attended every achievement ceremony, school play, and swim meet possible.
Tom is survived by his daughter, his pride and joy, Taylor (Joe) Erony; his mother, Mary Wiley; his older brothers, Dave (Joyce) Wiley, Joe (Renate) Wiley, and Ken (Kathy) Wiley; two granddogs, Willow & Apollo; and a large extended family. He will be missed by his family and many others who loved him.
A funeral service to celebrate Tom's life will be held in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, Delaware on Friday, December 31, 2021, at 1 p.m. A visitation for family and friends will begin at Noon. With the increasing COVID-19 rates, masks are requested.
