HARRINGTON - Thomas J. Parks of Harrington passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 53.
He was born March 24, 1954, in Havre de Grace, Md., to Carmon and Sylvia (Nelson) Parks.
Mr. Parks came to Dover in 1956 and remained in Dover, making it home.
He was a 1972 graduate of Dover High School.
Mr. Parks worked at Hertrich Nisson as a master mechanic and had previously been a fixture for many years at Neatons Goodyear in Dover.
He loved animals.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carmon D. Parks.
He is survived by his mother, Sylvia Murphy of Dover; sister and her husband, Susan and David Parks Comegys of Dover; and a friend, Trish Bohm-Parks.
Remembrance services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be at the Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Wyoming, DE 19934.
