LEWES - Thomas H. Brown III of Lewes passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington. He was 71.
Mr. Brown was born in Asbury Park, N.J., son of the late Thomas H. Brown Jr. and Beverly (McNamara) Brown.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Brown was a retired psychotherapist working with patients at the Alcohol Treatment Center at Arlington Hospital. He also volunteered his services through the Hospice Program.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen G. (Cassidy) Brown; stepmother, Patricia O'Regan Brown; son, Kenneth Brown; daughter, Cheryl Brown; stepson, Brian Burns; stepdaughter, Michelle Geary; brother, Michael Brown; sister, Stephanie Giunta; grandchildren, Gregory, Wesley, Savannah, Taylor, Lexi, Kyle, Connor, Brendan, Chandler and Brittany; and niece, Valerie Thommen.
A gathering of friends and family will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro.
Interment with military honors will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Quantico National Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Tom's memory to Dry Dock, P.O. Box 562, Nassau, DE 19969.
