Theresa Elaine Harris, 88

DOVER - Theresa Elaine Harris, of Dover, departed this life Monday, April 13, 2009, at Silverlake Nursing Home. She was born on Jan. 25, 1921 in Sullivan, W.Va. She was 88. Theresa resided in Philadelphia for 46 years and in Dover for the past 8 years. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Daisy Morton; her father, Henry Morton; two sisters, Dale Brown and Bernice McFarland; a brother, Buck Keaton; and a grandson King, R. Survivors include; six children, Nathaniel Hale of Souderton, Pa., Daisy (William) Donald of Beckley, W.Va., Wanda (Jerry) Barnett of Plainfield, N.J., Joan Hale of South Carolina, King (Michelle) Harris Jr. of Dover and Katherine (Drexel) Reid of Philadelphia; 23 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside services will be noon, Friday, April 17, at the Ivy Hill Cemetery, Easton Road, Philadelphia. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
