Theodore J.Bole Jr., 58

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Theodore J. Bole Jr., of Brooklyn, formerly of Dover, Del., died on Monday, June 23, 2008, at his residence. He was 58.

Born in Germantown, Pa., he was the son of Theodore and Alma Millar Bole of Dover.

Ted was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and Wesley College, Dover. He later received a bachelor of arts degree in both biology and French from New York University and a masters degree in accounting from Pace University.

While serving in the U.S. Navy he was stationed in Morocco which gave rise to his love for travel.

It led him to many far flung locations including Egypt, the Falkland Islands to Cambodia.

Ted worked at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover, as an operating room technician and later at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn.

He later became a highly respected expert in Expatriate Administration and Planning and had served with several major accounting firms, including Price Waterhouse Coopers, Arthur Anderson, and at the time of his death he was associated with Ernst & Young.

Ted had also served as vice president, Expatriate Tax Administration and Planning at Chase Manhattan Bank and with International Flavors and Fragrances.

As a result of his work he had served on many overseas work assignments which took him to Japan, Singapore, Australia, and the UK.

Besides travel, he was an avid reader and was one who appreciated "old movies."

A true friend to his friends, Ted will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John V. Bole in 1983.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his long time partner of 27 years, Aaron Moreshita of Brooklyn; four sisters, Alma Schmidt of Landenburg, Pa., Jane Bole Briggs of Annandale, Va., Elizabeth Boaman of Dover, and Elaine Bole-Baierlein of Washington, D.C.; and three brothers, Robert J. Bole of Dover, Thomas W. Bole of Mt. Airy, Md., and David F. Bole of Magnolia, Del.

The family has requested private services and that instead of flowers, donations be forwarded to North Shore Animal League, 25 Davis Ave., Port Washington, NY 11105; or online at www.nsalamerica.org.

Arrangements by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc., Dover.
