DENTON, Md. - Theodore F. Gelletly of Denton died Thursday, May 31, 2007, in Caroline Nursing Home, Denton. He was 95.
Born at home in Denton, Mr. Gelletly was the son of the late Alfred George Sr. and Tryphena (Detwiler) Gelletly. He lived in Denton all of his life.
He was a machinist for the E.I. DuPont Co., starting in September 1944 and retiring in April 1977. He then worked for 11 years at Solo Cup in Federalsburg, retiring when he was 79.
Mr. Gelletly was a member of St. Luke"s United Methodist Church, Denton, and a former member of the AARP Chapter 915, Denton.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Elwanda Gelletly, who died Feb. 10, 1972; his second wife, Alberta Rose (Porter) Gelletly, who died May 12, 2003; four brothers, Alfred Gelletly, Henry Gelletly, Edwin Gelletly and Kenneth Gelletly; and two sisters, Mary Roemer and Pauline Gelletly.
Mr. Gelletly is survived by two sons, Theodore A. Gelletly and his wife Kay of Dayton, and Robert F. Gelletly and his wife Pam Bell of Frederick; one daughter, Dr. Grace Gelletly and her husband Jim Franks of Baltimore; one sister, Grace G. Laramore of Denton; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Moore Funeral Home, 12 S. Second St., Denton, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening.
Interment will be in Denton Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association, Salisbury Office, 114 Baptist St., Salisbury, MD 21801.
