DOVER - In Loving Memory of Terry (Clark) McCarthy-Budrewicz passed away on January 17, 2021.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Harry Clark; her daughter, Kelly McCarthy; and her sisters, Sandy McCarthy and Joan McGullam.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 40+ years, Charles Budrewicz; sons, Scott McCarthy (Pam) and Robert Budrewicz; granddaughter, Ella McCarthy; nieces, Stacy Dowd (Chris) and Lisa Di Turi-Dini (Deb); and nephew David Dini (Laura).
Terry was born in Bangor, Maine. She moved around a lot growing up living in many places ultimately ending up in Long Island, New York. For the last 40 years, she called Delaware home but was still a proud New Yorker through and through.
Terry loved taking care of people and was devoted to her career as a nurse for 35 years, working in a variety of settings from doctors' offices to the ER and finally teaching at Harris School, training adults interested in entering the medical field.
Terry always opened her home to everyone and delighted in taking in all of the kids in the neighborhood and feeding them. However, the greatest joy of Terry's life was her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her husband, sons, sisters and nieces and nephews. Then, in more recent years, with her granddaughter, Ella, who was the light of her life.
A celebration of Terry's life and luncheon is scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Mrs. Robino's in Wilmington. Due to COVID, capacity is limited. However, we'd like to include as many of her friends as possible. Please reach out to Scott McCarthy if you would like to attend as we honor Terry and celebrate her life.
