Sylvia (Lofland) Taylor, 74
PRESTON, Md. - Sylvia (Lofland) Taylor of Preston died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, in Memorial Hospital at Easton. She was 74.
Mrs. Taylor was born May 14, 1932, in Seaford, Del., daughter of the late Robert and Pierce Anderson Smith Lofland.
She was a homemaker and farmer"s wife.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of Auxiliary of Gideons International and Bethlehem Wesleyan Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Claude Merrill Taylor, Dec. 25, 2006; two brothers, Robert Lofland and George Lofland; and a sister, Mabel Griffith.
She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Janice T. and David W. Stanley of Preston; two sisters, Alice Barrett of Newark, Del., and Grace Himes of Seaford; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Framptom Funeral Home, P.A., Federalsburg.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The Rev. Bill Thomas Sr. will officiate.
Burial will follow in Junior Order Cemetery, Preston.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Taylor, Mark Mank, Jack Barry, Ronnie Fearins, Charles Frase and David Wright.
