MAGNOLIA - Suzanne S. Lutz, died peacefully in her home, Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, following a long and courageous fight with Parkinson's Disease. She was 84. Born in Crafton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Agnes Quinn Stewart. In 1942, she graduated high school in Crafton and later attended one semester at the University of Pittsburgh. Realizing she needed to help support her widowed mother and younger brother and sister, she attended business school and became a secretary. In 1954, she married Richard N. Lutz, of Butler, Pa. and together raised six children. Suzanne was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Alter and Rosary Society, and the PTA. An energetic supporter of Scouting, Suzanne was the proud mother of three Eagle Scouts, and the grandmother of one. She had remained active throughout her retirement and was often engaged in the activities of friends and family, including her 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, MaryJo Dowds. She is survived by her children, Richard and his wife Ae Sun, of Woodstock, Ga., Thomas and his wife Angela, of Marietta, Ga., Suzanne Lutz Mihok, of Magnolia, Roger and his wife Lori, of Grove City, Ohio, Brian and his wife Marguerite, of Bucharest, Romania, and Christopher and his wife Julia, of Saint Meinrad, Ind.; one sister, Connie Zehnder, of Seven Lakes, N.C.; and one brother, Edward Stewart, of Crafton, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, South State Street, Dover, where friends may call starting at 2 p.m. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Moorestown, N.J. Family suggests donations in her memory to the Parkinson's Institute, 675 Almanor Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94085. Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc., Dover.
