GEORGETOWN — The Sussex Conservation District will hold a hybrid Local Work Group meeting at 9 a.m. March 10 at the Vanderwende-Evans Conservation Center.
The event is free and open to the public, with limited in-person seating. Registration is required.
The group allows stakeholders an opportunity to discuss U.S. Department of Agriculture farm bill programs, conservation needs and resource concerns in Sussex County.
Feedback will be included in the Delaware State Technical Committee meeting in May. This committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Natural Resources Conservation Service on the implementation of certain provisions of the farm bill.
David Baird, Sussex Conservation District’s coordinator, said the workgroup should be diverse and focused on agricultural and natural resource issues in the community.
Individuals with disabilities who require accommodations should contact the district by March 3.
