Stuart Harvey Flamm

Stuart Harvey Flamm, 82 DOVER - Stuart Harvey Flamm, of Dover, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at Pinnacle Rehabilitation and Health Center, Smyrna. He was 82. Mr. Flamm was born July 21, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late James I. Flamm and Minnie Katz Flamm. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1954. After the military he worked as an egg dealer in the Dover area. Mr. Flamm has also had owned a liquor store for 10 years on Loockerman Street. He and his wife worked as antique dealers in Dover for many years. Mr. Flamm was an avid fisherman and poker player. Mr. Flamm is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen Meyers Flamm of Dover; son, Howard Matthew Flamm and his wife Adele of Dover; daughter, Marsha Ellen Flamm of Newark; brother, George Jeffrey Flamm of Beverly, N.J.; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, 2928 Sharon Hill Road, Dover. The family requests that no flowers be sent but donations may be made to the Congregation Beth Sholom, 340 N. Queen Street, Dover, DE 19904. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
