Steven Zimmerman, 54

DOVER - Steven Zimmerman, of Dover, died suddenly Saturday, May 10, 2008, at home. He was 54.

Steve was born July 10, 1953, in Dover, son of John C. and Margaret (Gaab) Zimmerman.

He was a lifelong resident of Dover.

Steve was a 1972 graduate of Dover High School.

He was employed by George & Lynch in Dover.

He was an avid fan of both the Phillies and Eagles.

Steve was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover.

He was recently predeceased by his father, John C. Zimmerman, on March 12, 2008.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Zimmerman of Dover; sisters, Joan Hitchens and her husband David of North East, Md., and Kathy Zimmerman of Dover; a nephew, Patrick A. Martin of Smyrna; and many cousins.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests donation to Holy Cross Catholic Church, South State Street, Dover; or to the American Heart Association, 1151 Walker Road, Suite 202, Dover, DE 19904.
