Steven Milbourne Shorts passed away at home in Dunn, N.C., on February 21, 2021. Mr. Shorts was born in Delaware and was the son of the late Richard "Dickie" Shorts and Ann Godwin Shorts.
He grew up in Little Creek, Del., working with his father crabbing, eeling, and fishing in the Delaware Bay. He later moved to North Carolina where he became an electrician.
Mr. Shorts is survived by his wife Carolyn, of North Carolina; sons Leroy (Tracy) of Hawaii, and Gene (Brittany) of Virginia; daughter, Sarah of North Carolina; grandchildren, Brittney, Caitlyn, Cole, Ethan and Steven; sister, Valerie Shorts of Virginia; cousins, Michael and Mark Bundek (Peggy) of Delaware; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Dunn, N.C.
There will be a private family service, time and date to be determined.
