CHESTER SPRINGS, Pa. - Stephen T. O"Hedy Jr. of Chester Springs died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, in Brandywine Hospital. He was 59.

Born in New Haven, Conn., he was the son of the late Stephen T. O"Hedy Sr. and Mildred Maher O"Hedy of Lyme, Conn.

Upon graduation from high school, Mr. O"Hedy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.

He also protected the lives of others while serving as a paramedic, firefighter and policeman.

After becoming disabled, Mr. O"Hedy enjoyed time with his friends and his favorite canines, Sergeant and Heidi.

In addition to his mother, Stephen is survived by a daughter, Debra Jewell and her husband, Edward of Hartly, Del.; two grandchildren, Morgan and Mason Jewell; a sister, Maureen Bethke-Steiner of Lyme; two nieces, Alicia Bethke and Jessica Bethke; and his companion, Suzanne Cola-Luca of Chester Springs.

Funeral services and interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one"s choice.

Arrangements are being handled by the Founds Funeral Home, Inc., West Chester.
