BETTERTON, Md. - Stephen Michael Blevins, 37, of Betterton, died May 15, 2009, in his home. Stevie was born on Dec. 25, 1971, in Wilmington, Del., son of Stephen W. and Bernadette Brasure Blevins. At the age of 6 his family moved to Betterton, where he was raised on Howell Point Farm. He was a 1990 graduate of Kent County High School, and a member of their FFA. For 13 years he has worked with ground maintenance for Washington College. His memberships include Sons of the American Legion and U.S. Bowling Congress, and was a past member of the Kent County Rifle Club and Kent County 4-H. He was an avid Ravens fan, and enjoyed Orioles baseball, bowling, hunting, fishing, golf, slots, and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his grandfather George Brasure Sr. Stevie is survived by his wife of one year, Tracie Lynne Davis Blevins; his parents, Stephen W. and Bernadette Brasure Blevins of Betterton; his paternal grandparents, Webb and Dorothy Blevins of Betterton; maternal grandmother, Thelma Brasure of Newark, Del.; maternal step-grandmother, Phyl Brasure of Elsmere, Del.; godmother, Catherine Hall of New Castle, Del.; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Jackie Davis of Newark; brother-in-law, John P. Davis and his wife Christine of Newark; nephews, Jonah Davis and Kaleb Schultz; and a niece, Joanna Tichnell. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, May 19, in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20. Burial in Still Pond Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to Juvenile Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or Betterton V.F.Co., P.O. Box 235, Betterton, MD 21610.
