SMYRNA - Stephanie L. Williams of Smyrna, formerly of New Castle, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, in Smyrna. She was 21.

Ms. Williams attended Smyrna High School.

She worked as a clerk for Harris Manufacturing in Dover.

Ms. Williams loved music and was learning to play the bass guitar and banjo. She also enjoyed searching spiritual avenues in her life. She loved her cats, Emily and Deacon, and her gecko friend, Fred.

She is survived by her father, Michael Anthony Williams Sr., and his wife, Joanne; her mother and stepfather, Edna Smith and Ronald R. Williams; three brothers, Gregory Alan Smith, Douglas Ray Smith and Michael Anthony Williams Jr.; a sister, Victoria Williams; maternal grandparents, Edward Arnette Smith and Linda Ann Smith; paternal grandparents, Henry A. Williams Jr., and his wife, Connie, and Mary Jean Conners, and her husband, Jack; a great-grandmother, Anna Naomi Williams; two stepbrothers, Christopher Williams and David Williams; and three stepsisters, Kimberlyn Williams, Donna M. Williams and Ashley Williams.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Strano and Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark.

Celebration of Life services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

Burial will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to PFLAG, The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware, PO Box 1467, Wilmington, DE 19899; or to AIDS Delaware, 100 W. 10th St., Wilmington, DE 19801.
