Staci Marie Garrison

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Staci Marie Garrison, of Cambridge, Md., formerly of Dover, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018.
She was born on Dec. 8, 1968, in Dover, the daughter of Thomas R. Garrison of Smyrna and Janice L. Jankus of Newark.
Staci earned her BS degree from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla. and her Master's degree from Ashford University.
She went on to work for Caesar Rodney School District and the State Prison system as a Teacher and Delaware Technical Community College and Chesapeake College in charge of accreditation.
Staci enjoyed Philadelphia sports teams including the Phillies, Eagles, and the Flyers. She loved her cats and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Elaine F. Garrison.
In addition to her parents, Staci is survived by her step-father, John C. Jankus, III; her brother, Jamie R. Garrison (Andrea) of Lincoln; and her sisters, Katrina L. Gott (Jeffrey) of Smyrna and Katherine W. Nowrey of Wilmington. She was also the doting aunt of eight nieces and nephews including great niece, Willow and great nephew, Clay.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 12 p.m.
Burial will be privately held.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contribution in Staci's memory to Bay Water Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Rd., Cambridge, MD 21613.
