Sigrid Johnson

FREDERICA - Sigrid "Ziggy" Johnson passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at home.
Ms. Johnson was born Jul. 30, 1943 in Bremerhaven Germany to the late Wilheim Schulz and Lisa Lotte Schulz.
She was a bartender and manager for ten years at the Silverlake Tavern before managing Shore Stop and Family Dollar. Ms. Johnson loved animals and worked closely with local rescues, donating food and her time. She also enjoyed reading.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an aunt, Helene Ryan.
She is survived by her children, Suzy Mobley of Woodside, Richard Johnson of Felton, Denise Johnson of Baca Raton, Fla., Holly Johnson (Douglas) of Dover and Gary Johnson of Woodside; brother, Carl Schulz (Barbara) of Odessa; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (RT. 10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to First State Animal Shelter and SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
