Felton - Shirley May Kovacs passed away on Wednesday on July 23, 2014 at her Residence surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 22, 1956 in Wilmington, DE to the late William and Anna Kushion Steele. Shirley was a homemaker and a compassionate person conducting food drives for the hungry in her area. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers William Steele, Jr., John Steele, Sr. and Jacob Steele and sisters Mary Steele and Janet Steele. She is survived by her husband of 25 years Louis C. Kovacs, 2 son David Alan Schippers, Jr. of Jacksonville, Fl and Jordan N. Kovacs of Felton, daughter Jasmine N. Kovacs of Woodside, brothers Earl Steele, Sr of Hartly, Vernon Steele of Smyrna, George Steele of Hartly and Ace Steele of Felton, sisters Georgianna Wright , Ann Carliles both of Clayton, Sharon Lindale of Dover and Alice Fretz of Felton. A funeral service for Shirley will be on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, MD, where a visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
