Shirley Ann Connell

DOVER - Shirley Ann Connell, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012. Born on November 11, 1942 in West Allis, WS, she was the daughter of the late Cecelia Merrow and Roy Waite. Shirley was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Doug and Floyd Merrow. She is survived by her loving husband, John Connell, who she married in 1969; a daughter, Patti (John) Foreman; son, Scott (Kim) Connell; brother, Alex (Judy) Merrow; sister, Eilleen Grenwold; a sister-in-law, Margaret Hall and brother-in-law, Dennis Connell (Bonnie), five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Shirley was loved and adored by all who were blessed to know her. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street in Middletown, where friends may visit with her family from 10 to 12. Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
