Shirley A. Doney, 61

SEAFORD - Shirley A. Doney, of Seaford, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, in Delaware Hospice Center, in Milford. She was 61. She was born in Missouri, the daughter of the late Leonard and Annie Youngblood Terry. She was a resident assistant at The Methodist Manorhouse in Seaford for 17 years. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ernest R. Doney; children, Rhonda Kinley and husband David of Seaford and Ronnie Doney of Seaford; four sisters and three brothers; two grandchildren, Brittany Doney and Jordan Kinley; and one great-granddaughter, Monique Doney. Funeral Services will be held noon Tuesday in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georetown, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriot's Way, Milford, DE 19963.
