Shirley A. Betley, 73

RALEIGH, N.C. - Shirley A. Betley, of Raleigh, and formerly of Newark, Del., and Catawissa, Pa., passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009. She was 73. She is survived by three daughters, Deborah McCusker of Wake Forest, Sandra Osman of Middletown, and Cynthia Daly of New Albany, Pa.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a beloved companion, Thomas Owen, of Raleigh, N.C. Family and friends may visit Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 7-9 p.m. at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown. Funeral services will be noon Thursday, Feb. 26 at St. James Episcopal Church Millcreek, 2106 St. James Church Road, Wilmington, where a visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. James Episcopal Church Cemetery, Wilmington.
