Sherry O. (Prinski) Savage, 58

TOWNSEND - Sherry O. (Prinski) Savage of Townsend passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, in Christiana Care-Christiana Hospital, Newark, surrounded by her family. She was 58.

Mrs. Savage was born Sept. 17, 1948, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Joseph and Betty Prinski.

She loved playing scrabble, spending time with her grandchildren, camping with her husband, playing Pinochle at the MOT Senior Center, playing her accordion at family gatherings and painting ceramics.

Mrs. Savage was a former school bus driver, and co-owner of Blackbird Deli and "The Holiday Shop."

She enjoyed teaching ceramics at the MOT Senior Center and at Broadmeadow Health Care.

Mrs. Savage was an officer of the American Legion Auxiliary and team captain for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Middletown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark W. Savage.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Alfred "Butch" Savage Jr.; a son, Michael Savage and his wife Elizabeth of Townsend; a daughter, Debbie A. Helm and her husband Bobby of Smyrna; a sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Bill Moore of New Castle; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Gretchen Prinski of Ocean Pines, Md.; three grandsons, Robbie Helm, Joseph Savage and Jason Savage; numerous nieces and nephews; and good friends, Kathy, Liz, Janet, Louise, Pixie, Susan and many others.

Mass of Christian burial will be offered noon Monday in St. Joseph Parish, 115 Cleaver Farm Road, Middletown.

Family and friends may call Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown.

Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Newark.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Savage's memory to the MOT Senior Center, 300 S. Scott St., Middletown, DE 19709.
