HOUSTON - Sherry Jeannette Carlisle, of Houston, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Bayhealth at Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford. She was 37. Sherry was born in Lewes, the daughter of Kenneth R. and Ramona (Oviedo) Carroll of Houston. She was a receptionist for First State Manufacturing. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Milford. She enjoyed shopping and cooking, reading books and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Hilda Carroll and Abdon Oviedo and Ercilia Delgado. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her three children, Michael Shawn Carlisle, Angelica L. Carlisle and Caitlin N. Carlisle, all of Houston; a brother, Kenneth R. Carroll and his wife Nikki, of Alabama; and two nephews, Braden and Tyler Carroll. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 2 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford. Visitation was held April 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford and Thursday (April 7) from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Burial was private. Contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave., Milford, DE 19963.
