Shawana M. Robinson

BEAR - Shawana M. Robinson, of Bear, Del., passed away on Nov. 21, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Shawana was born on May 5, 1974, daughter of Percy and Wendy Robinson. She was raised in Galena, Md., and was a 1992 graduate of Kent County High School. She received her AA degree from Chesapeake College and began working for Union Hospital. For the last 15 years she worked as a Senior Claims Specialist for Coventry Health Care in Newark. Shawana loved eating at her favorite restaurants, going to movies, plays and concerts, hosting get-togethers and taking Cameron to the beach and other activities. Along with her parents, Percy and Wendy Hackett Robinson, III of Galena, she is survived by her son, Cameron Brown; two brothers, Darius Christy of Middletown, Del., and Michael Robinson (Rayshelle) of Grasonville, Md.; a niece, Maya Robinson, and paternal grandmother, Rebecca Turner of Chestertown, Md. A viewing will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, and on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 from 9 to 11 a.m., where funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial in the Chew Family Cemetery, Galena, MD. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com
