FELTON - Semelia "Kay" Crowl, of Felton, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, in her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 70. Mrs. Crowl was born Oct. 9, 1940, in Oxford, Pa., to the late Malcolm McCormick and Frances Brown McCormick. She worked for Dr. Arellano's office in Dover retiring after 14 years. Prior to this she had worked at NAPA in Middletown and The Delaware Importers of New Castle. Mrs. Crowl was a member of the Helping Hands Quilt Guild. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and was an avid reader. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Crowl. She is survived by her son, Kirk Miles of Stanton; daughter, Wanda Miles and her partner Nadia Thomas of St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Daniel Spray, Tara Miles, Patty Pedraza and her husband Carlos; great-grandchildren, Robbie Rynkowski, and Destiny Williams; and her companion, William Eccleston of Felton. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901; or the Helping Hands Quilt Guild, 301 Walker Road, Dover, DE 19901. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
