DOVER - Elder Scottie O. Williams answered the call of his name on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Bayhealth Medical Kent General. Scottie was educated in the Baltimore School System. Scottie attended Doswell Cathedral in Baltimore until he relocated to Delaware. Scottie was a member of the United States Air Force from 1973 until he retired in 1986. Scottie worked for the Department of Labor as an employment counselor for 15 years until his retirement. He was a member and an Elder at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Joseph P. Cooper until his demise. Scottie leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 34 years, Daisy L. Williams; two sons; Scottie Jr. (Tameka) and Sean; one daughter, De'Andrea; and three grandchildren, Scottie III, Savannah, and Dreydin Williams, all of Dover; one sister, Lynn Darden; one nephew, Jae Darden; and one niece, Kylista Darden, all of Baltimore, Md.; and a host of Godchildren. Memorial Services/Public Viewing will be Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Homegoing Services will be Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at 11 a.m., all at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church of God, 145 Center Street, Camden, with a viewing two hours prior.
