Scott M. Behrens, 51

SMYRNA - Scott M. Behrens, passed away Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, in Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. He was 51. Scott was born June 6, 1957 in Dover, the son of the late Joseph C. and Mary Jane Meader Behrens. He had formerly worked as a prep cook for the Smyrna Diner before retiring due to disability. Scott enjoyed collecting collectibles and hanging out with his great nieces and nephews. He is survived by two sisters, Carole J. Satterfield and her husband Roger, of Kenton, and Sherry B. Forbes and her husband Clynn, of Smyrna; two brothers, Charles A. and John M. Behrens, both of Smyrna; a niece, Kim Wix and her husband Richard, of Smyrna; a nephew, Brian M. Satterfield and his girlfriend Jennifer Connor, of Smyrna; two great-nieces, Chelsea and Brooke Wix, both of Smyrna; two great-nephews, David Wix and Ethan Satterfield, both of Smyrna; and an aunt, Shirley Neiman of Clinton, Iowa. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna. Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium Inc., 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Letters of condolence may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
