CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Sarah Virginia Hart of Chestertown died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, in Chester River Hospital Center. She was 82.
Mrs. Hart was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Millington, daughter of the late Alfred and Ida (Everett) Simpler.
She was a 1942 graduate of Chestertown High School.
Mrs. Hart worked and retired as a teletype operator with Western Union.
She loved arts, crafts, her cats and helping others. She enjoyed dancing and was an excellent cook. She was a "Grey Lady" for Kent and Queen Anne"s Hospital for many years.
Mrs. Hart was a member of Tolchester Arts and Crafts Guild, the Rock Hall Senior Citizens and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 152, Millington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Francis J. Reskovitz and Albert Hart; two sons, Francis J. Reskovitz II and James C. Reskovitz; two sisters, Helen Ball and Katherine Ridgely; and two brothers, James Simpler and Arthur Simpler.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph A. Reskovitz III and Stephen Reskovitz, both of Tolchester; a sister-in-law, Ellen Brady of Tolchester; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday in Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. John"s Catholic Church, Rock Hall.
