HARRINGTON - Sarah S. Hobbs, 91, of Harrington, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Genesis Eldercare in Milford, where she had been a resident since 2004. Sarah was born in Harrington to mother, Sadie Sapp. She owned and operated the Bridle Bit Restaurant and Package Store in Harrington from 1961-1983. Sarah was a loving and caring person who enjoyed playing cards with friends; spending time with family; horses, and horseracing. She belonged to Pilgrim Chapel Church and the Harrington Senior Center. Sarah also was a member of the Standardbred Association; she was the owner of a horse named 'Prospect. She was predeceased by her first husband, George Sullivan; and her second husband, Everett Hobbs. Also predeceased by a brother, Robert Camac; and a sister, Dorothy Bennett. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Jackie Sullivan of Harrington; three grandchildren, Patrick Sullivan and his wife Linda of Harrington, Valerie O'Bryan and her husband Robert of Harrington, and William Taylor and his wife Marlene of Greenwood; four great-grandchildren, Jeffery Sullivan, Jessica Sullivan, Michael Taylor, and Shelly Taylor;three great-grandchildren, Chelsea Taylor, Bridget Taylor, and Shea Taylor; and a sister-in-law, Joan Camac. Service will be Sunday at 2 p.m., at Price Funeral Home, 6 Dorman Street, Harrington, where friends may call beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contribution to Prospect United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 342, Harrington, DE 19952.
