Sarah L. Murphy, 77 HARRINGTON - Sarah L. Murphy of Harrington, died Saturday, August 2, 2008 in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 77. She was born in Felton, the daughter of the late Roland L. and Mary (Green) Legates. Mrs. Murphy worked in admissions at Dover Downs for harness racing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pearl Ross. Mrs. Murphy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lewis C. Murphy Sr.; nine children, Beverly Hollinger, Wanda Jean Roe both of Felton, Lu Ann Marsh of Harrington, Linda Jaggers and her husband Perry of Cincinnati, Ohio, Richard L. Murphy and his wife Benalee of Dover, Lewis C. Murphy Jr. of Harrington, John Dale Murphy and his wife Becky , Roland B. Murphy and his wife Kathryn and Robert M. Murphy all of Felton; four sisters, Ruth Bradley, Betty Cornell both of Felton Doris Legates of Magnolia and Norma Spence of Ohio; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be noon Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main St., Felton, where friends may call Wednesday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burial will be held in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
