Sara 'Betty' Walls, 80

MILFORD - Sara "Betty" Walls, passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, in the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 80. Betty was born in Milford, daughter of the late John H. and Cora (Higman) Roberts. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Howard F. Walls, in 2004; a sister, Elva Wadkins; and a granddaughter, Wanda K. Walls Wootten. She is survived by three sons, John Walls Sr. and wife Linda, of Milford, Kenneth Walls and wife Patricia, of Harrington, and George Walls and wife Sandy, of Dover; a daughter, Phyllis Ann Walls, also of Dover; two grandchildren, John Walls Jr. and wife Hilary, and Brenda Lee Russum and husband Dustan; and three great-grandchildren, Jayven Walls, Hannah Walls, and Dusty Russum. A funeral service was 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford. Burial was in Milford Community Cemetery.
