Sandra Lee Rowe, 74
MAGNOLIA - Sandra Lee Rowe passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021, at home under the care of Seasons Hospice.
She was born June 22, 1947, in Troy, New York to the late Raymond Francis Carey and Ella Mae Gibbs.
Mrs. Rowe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked in the health care field as an RN for 20 years, until retiring in 2007. She worked as a telephone operator while living in NJ, then, when living in NY, she spent time as a school tax collector. She also was an active member of the Orchard Church in Magnolia. Mrs. Rowe loved spending her time reading, she loved a good book. She enjoyed crafts, such as, sewing, crocheting, and collecting cookbooks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul F. Carey; and grandson, Dacota Rowe.
Mrs. Rowe is survived by her husband of 52 years, Frederick W. Rowe; sons, Frederick "Rick" Rowe II (Michelle) and Christopher Rowe of Manistee, MI; daughter, Melissa D. Rowe of Milford; brothers, Eugene Carey of Soddy Daisy, TN., William Denman (Pat) of Johnstown, NY, Timothy Denman (Kathy) of Walden, NY; sister, Wendy Parsels (Rick) of South Daytona, FL.; grandchildren, Frederick "Trey" Rowe III of Phoenix, AZ., Kyria Rowe of Manistee, MI, and Amelia L. Rowe of Milford.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to St. Jude, Donate now to St. Jude and help kids fighting cancer - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org), or Seasons Hospice, Donate to the work of Seasons Hospice - Seasons Hospice.
Services will be private.
