GEORGETOWN - Sandra L. Donaldson passed away peacefully on August 24, 2023, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Born March 8, 1946, in Bethesda, Md., to Alton and Lucille Jones, she joined the Federal Government in 1969 with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, retiring from the DE National Guard in 2006.
After retirement Sandy spent her golden years with her husband of 54 years, Mark, in their dream home in Georgetown, DE. In her spare time, she loved entertaining friends, boating on the Chesapeake Bay, watching University of Maryland sports, her Beloved Baltimore Orioles, and all other DMV sports teams.
She is survived by her son, Stephen; sisters-in-law, Juanita Sharpley and Andrea Pronko Jones; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 11:30am with memorial services beginning at 12:00pm at The Cheer Center, 20520 Sand Hill Road, Georgetown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Georgetown Police Dept., 225 N Race St, Georgetown, DE 19947.
