Houston - Sandra Lee Baker passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2019 from her home. Mrs. Baker was born in Harrington to the late, Harry W. and Louise Minner.
Mrs. Baker worked as an accountant/book keeper for many years. She worked mostly for Chicks of Harrington, and the Harrington Hi-Grade.
Mrs. Baker enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and reading. She enjoyed surfing the internet on her tablet and also reading books on there. She led an active lifestyle and enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting activities, especially Michael Jr. and Ryan's games and races. She enjoyed watching her soaps on TV and discussing them with her sons. She loved her chocolate ice cream and loved making her own. She was especially close to her sister, Wanda, and lived by the mantra, "when all else fails, ask Wanda". She could be stubborn at times, but loved her kids and grandchildren dearly. She lived a happy and content life and will be sadly missed.
Mrs. Baker was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Harrington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Baker, Jr.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Kevin and Theresa Baker, Michael and Valerie Baker Sr.; her siblings, Wanda Gerardi, Brenda Bonnewell, Linda McCluskey, Dickie Minner, Debbie Hopkins; grandchildren, Michael Baker Jr., Ryan Baker, Wendy Crew, John Crew, Brittney Breeding; and six great grandchildren.
A funeral service will take place at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 11 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
