LYNCH, Md. - Sandra Jean Getz King of Lynch died peace-fully Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, in Chester River Hospital Center, Chestertown. She was 59.

Mrs. King was born March 12, 1947, in Trenton, N.J., daughter of Virginia Valeri and Eugene Getz.

Following graduation from Hamilton High School West, she married George F. King III April 12, 1969, and devoted her life to being a loving wife and mother.

In 1992, she and her husband moved to Worton from New Jersey to find peace and tran-quility, where they lived until her husband passed away Sept. 1, 2003. They were happily married for 34 years.

Mrs. King subsequently moved to Lynch.

She lit up a room as she en-tered, not only with her outward beauty, but also with her genuine spirit that glowed about her. It was her spirit and brilliant smile that attracted so many of her adoring friends. She impacted many lives with her outgoing and kind hearted demeanor and amazing strength and conviction, which is how many will remem-ber her. She lived for creating memories with her family and helped raise her grand-daughter, Alexa King.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson, Dominic Francis Rotondi.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Virginia and Ben Valeri; her father and step-mother, Eugene and Judy Getz; a granddaughter, Sandra; two daughters, Chanin King of Penn-sauken, N.J. and Heather Rotondi and her husband, Robert of Bridgewater, N.J.; a step-daughter, Georgina Buzgo of Robbinsville, N.J.; two sisters, Jeanette Paul of Wrightstown, N.J. and Tawny Suchowierski of Spring City, Pa.; a soon-to-be grandson, Salvatore Dominic Rotondi; and best friend, Barbara Coleman of Lynch.

Memorial services will be at a later date in Lynch and Trenton.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Lymphoma Research Founda-tion, 111 Broadway, 19th Floor, New York, NY 10006; or Kent County Humane Society, P.O. Box 352, Chestertown, MD 21620-0352.
