Samuel J. "Buddy" Price Jr., 83
ELKTON, Md. - Samuel J. "Buddy" Price Jr. of Elkton, died March 18, 2007, in his home. He was 83.
Mr. Price was born on July 29, 1923, in Dover, son of the late Samuel J. Price Sr. and Bessie Brown Price.
He was a lifetime resident of Chesapeake City, Md. until moving to Elkton a few years ago.
He worked for United Paving for 42 years, retiring in 1981. He enjoyed gardening and trapping.
He is preceded in death by four brothers, William Price, Albert Price, Edward Price and Charles Price; and a sister, Bessie Tharp.
Mr. Price is survived by two sisters, Grace Embert of Millington, Md., and Dorothy Philpot of Middlesboro, Ky.; a special niece, Teresa Reed of Elkton, who cared for him; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, Md., where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Port Penn.
